when considering the idea of relocating to tomales,
one hesitation we had was having to commute the 15
miles into northwest marin county. a number of our
neighbors, (ahem, BILL) wondered out loud why, after
five years of walking or bicycling past their front lawn,
we would decide to rely on a vehicle to get to work.
fair enough. there have been numerous upsides from
a business standpoint alone, but it has also turned out
to be downright inspirational in a number of respects
outside of bottom line concerns. this drive is one of
them. it is UNBELIEVABLY gorgeous. the winter rains
have left the hills a deep green and reservoirs are
nearing overflow. this ain't no sunday drive, but it sure
feels that way. (if i see another newborn lamb learning
to walk, i'm going to die from overwhelming cuteness.)
this is our commute!
one more thing: the fine people at grassroots modern
had some kind words to say about form3. this is one of our favorite design blogs. it's thoughtful, informative and simply well-executed with a distinctly singular voice. thanks to creede for the post. great job of keeping people informed.
