wine if you want to
we had a chance to take a private tour of the property and a library
wine tasting at one of our new favorite wineries in sonoma county
last weekend: williams selyem.
tucked just above the russian river and just below the dry creek
valley, the winery not only creates amazing, world class pinot noirs,
but has also created one of the most architectural compelling
structures in the northern california wine country.
our host, michael traverso, allowed us a glimpse into one of the most
exclusive wineries on the west coast and offered tastes of some of the
best stainless-steel cask chardonnay we've ever had the pleasure of
drinking.
voted winemaker of the year in 2011 by wine enthusiast magazine,
the future is bright for this gem of a winery.
if you feel the urge to visit williams selyem, be sure to set up an
appointment well in advance....their cult status is on the wain.
