arbor day
robert voit's series new trees, currently on exhibit at
robert morat galerie in hamburg, are images of giant
cell-phone towers which he has found around the world
with the help of a gps.
the design of these towers are both incredibly appealing
in their obviousness and an affront to how we actually
care for our forests and appreciate our solitude...give
me a signal or give me death! the editors at
aperture magazine said it best when they described
these as "corporatized versions of vernacular roadside
architecture"
