mission statement

while we were in the beginning stages of the design work for dope
couture, we received an email inquiry from a cycling group based
in san francisco, mission cycling.

headed by dylan dibona and kevin lakritz, these two had a vision
for a space in SF's mission district that could serve as both an office
space and a small retail outlet for their next venture: mozzo.

needless to say, we were thrilled at the opportunity and set up a
meeting with them and their realtor for the following day.

to be honest, it may have been the best first meeting we've ever had
with a prospective client.

not because of the space...not because of the budget...and certainly
not because of the dry sense of humor and innate charm these two
possess, but because we connected with what it is they are actively
doing with mission cycling.

it's about community.

and we're suckers for doing things that help community.

as kurt vonnegut once famously said, "the most daring thing to do in
life is to create stable communities..."

guess what?

we said yes to mission cycling.
