the streets of san francisco

we were interviewed a couple years ago by bryan kelly
of
prairie mod and he asked what inspires us in our design
process. living in the
san francisco area, it's easy to
understand how, in part, we answered this question:
architecture and natural surroundings. even before making
this area our home base, it's always been true. (it's just so
obvious in such an unbelievably dynamic city as SF.)

these are photos
chris took as she was floating into the
ferry building on the wharf last week: coit tower on the right
and the
william pereira-designed transamerica tower on the
left. the upper photo is the
bay bridge heading between

oakland
and SF.

we LOVE this city.

by the way, check this article about the mission district
(where we've designed benny gold's new retail space) in
the NY Times.
